1. Who this is between
BoardForge (“BoardForge”, “we”, “us”) is an independently operated web service at boardforge.app. “You” means the person using it. Using BoardForge means you accept these terms; if you do not, please do not use it.
2. BoardForge is in open beta
The service is early. It is free to use, and we make no promise about uptime, data durability, or that any particular feature will keep working the same way — or at all. Features may change or be removed while we build. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
3. Your account
You need an account to use BoardForge. Accounts are created with an email address and password through our authentication provider, Neon Auth. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. You must be old enough to enter an agreement where you live.
4. Your work stays yours
Your games, components, rules, journal entries, and playtest data belong to you. We claim no ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, display it back to you and to people you share it with, and keep operational backups. We do not sell your content and we do not use it for anything other than operating BoardForge for you.
5. Sharing and public links
You can invite collaborators to a project and generate public feedback links (the QR codes playtesters scan). Anyone holding such a link can see what that link exposes and submit feedback without an account. You decide who gets a link, and you can revoke access tokens from inside the app. Treat a public feedback link as public.
6. What you agree not to do
- Upload content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Try to access projects, accounts, or data that are not yours.
- Attack, overload, or probe the service, or upload malicious code.
- Use BoardForge to collect personal information you have no reason to collect.
7. Playtester feedback you collect
When you gather feedback through BoardForge, you choose what to ask. Ask for as little as you need, and tell your playtesters what you are recording. You are responsible for the questions you put in front of them.
8. Ending things
You can stop using BoardForge at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing billing@krishnahalaharvi.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.
9. No warranty
BoardForge is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will preserve your data. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost designs, lost data, lost profits, or other indirect losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. When a change is material, we will say so on this page and email accountholders. The date on the banner above is always the date of the current version.
